Ness Ales, Nesscliffe
A NEW BREWERY, has been set up at the Old Three Pigeons Nesscliffe . Their first beer was introduced in November 2015. and is called Humphrey’s Tipple (4.2%). This name is a reference to Humphrey Kynaston, Shropshire’s answer to Robin Hood, who lived hereabouts. A second ale, Hoppyton Arp!!!,(3.9%)  emerged in February 2016.

In the 2016 CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain competition, Darwin’s Origin won the Silver medal in the Best Bitter category, and Shropshire Gold won joint Bronze medal in the Bitter category. (This years Supreme Champion beer is Binghams Vanilla Stout from Berkshire) (Aug 2016)

Attended a successful Meet the Brewer event at the Abbey (Shrewsbury) on Aug 1st. Look out for an addition to their beer range, coming soon! ADDITIONAL: The new beer is Zephyr Pale Ale (4.0%) and has already been spotted at the Griffin (Oswestry). It has since been reported from the White Hart (Ellesmere) & Bailey Head (Oswestry) (Sep 2016)

Look out for the new limited edition red IPA-style beer – Red Rescue (4.2%). Recently sampled at the Horseshoe Inn (Pontesbury), the bottled version has also been available in places such as Tanners Wines, Shrewsbury. The brewery will be donating 5p for every bottle sold to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to help celebrate their 25th anniversary. (Jul 2016)
