The Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) campaigns for real ale, real pubs and consumer rights. We are an independent, voluntary organisation with over 180,000 members.
Shrewsbury is the County Town of Shropshire and is one of the most historic towns in England. It boasts a host of medieval buildings, castles and museums as well as some excellent Old Inns and Pubs.
Our branch covers the Western half of Shropshire, which includes the towns of Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Whitchurch and Ludlow. Take a look at our Branch Map.

No Stonehouse sold at any of the supermarkets in Oswestry, other than Stan’s Superstore in St. Martin’s. Shocking! Thank goodness that it is sold at Boozed Up! and Twelve Green Bottles though!

I just tried to buy some Shropshire Ale in Sainsbury’s ( “it’s our values that make us different”.) only one bottle amongst the hundreds on sale…Shropshire Lad. I complained perhaps we all should?

Good idea Simon! Come on folks – let’s change their minds about stocking local beers.

Get yourselves along to your local Co-Op. All the Shrewsbury branches stock a decent range of local ales. I’d rather buy my ale there than in one of the big supermarkets anyway.
